Principles of Cell Biology

课程介绍

预修课程:Introduction to Biology 现代生物科学导论

英文简介:This course aims at improvements of students’ ability in cell biology research, and ultimately, training of a group of students that have the potential of becoming the next generation cell biologists. In addition to the traditional lecturing course, this course provides an excellent opportunity for the students to gain a more intimate understanding of how discoveries in cell biology are actually made. In order to achieve this goal, in-depth discussion between the students and the course instructor will be carried out regularly, matching the progress of in-class lecturing of fundamental knowledge in the field of cell biology. A list of carefully chosen original research articles will be extensively discussed, covering various experimental techniques routinely used in a cell biology laboratory, as well as various classic and modern methodologies. The students will be provided unique opportunities to re-discover their own laws, and re-advances their own theories. For those of you who are considering a career in life science, this is the best way to know whether cell biology will be your future research focus. Active learning approaches will be used to facilitate higher levels of knowledge development, both in the knowledge lecturing, as well as in the knowledge re-discovering.

We have a mooc site hosting videos used for blended learning.
